Russian court extends detention of US journalist Kurmasheva until April
Russian-American journalist Alsu Kurmasheva has had her pre-trial detention extended until April 5 on charges of failing to register as a foreign agent and spreading false information.
Kurmasheva's employer, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, has called her detention unjust and politically motivated, stating that she could face up to 15 years in prison. [ more ]
